The Seaside Buoy app for iOS and Android requests permissions through Android or Apple to use your “fine location”, meaning very accurate GPS coordinates. This allows the app to suggest ocean buoys that are closest to the user. This permission isn’t required but improves the app experience. The GPS coordinates are not associated with personal data, but are used to serve more relevant ads from the Google network. Permissions for network traffic are required to download buoy data. No personal data is collected or stored.

The Seaside Buoy Action/Skill for Google Assistant and iTunes doesn’t require any permissions or personal data. It doesn’t gather or store user information and therefore can’t share that information with third parties.
